Opening New Doors in Counseling

Looking for new ways to move forward with those you care for in counselling or member care? In this two-day training, Narrative Therapist and longtime member care worker Chad Loftis will explore how a whole new way of looking at counselling and the therapeutic relationship can open doors that previously felt locked. Using approaches like re-authoring, narrative solutions, and a focus on preferred identity along with ideas about "re-enchantment" in therapy, you’ll learn how to cut through the noise of the counselling field and connect with what’s most important to both you and your clients.

Chad Loftis has been working as a clinical counsellor and Narrative Therapist for almost 20 years - 10 of those spent supporting cross-cultural workers and their families through The Well International. Apart from running a busy counselling practice, he is currently the head of counselling at Eastern College Australia in Melbourne, Australia and a sessional lecturer at Australian College of Ministry. Chad has a Masters of Narrative Therapy, a Master of Literature and Writing and is soon to complete his graduate studies and accreditation in professional supervision.
