Damaris Moerker

CLINICAL COUNSELLOR

M.A. Global Studies, focus on Counselling

Damaris grew up in Switzerland as a pastor’s kid and always enjoyed ministry life and reaching out to other cultures. As a young woman this interest led her to bible college for 3 years, studying theology and missions. She served two years in a church and became an ordained pastor in Switzerland. After learning English in England, she went to minister in Thailand in 2002 as part of a church planting team. She also ran the guesthouse for her organisation. During this season she often listened to many people’s stories and felt the need for further studies in counselling to better minister to her community. She received a diploma as an intercultural coach, and then studied counselling in Germany at the European School of Culture and Theology and finished her studies at Columbia International University in South Carolina.

She is very happy to be back serving the cross-cultural community in Thailand and at The Well where she served as an intern in 2017. Damaris is passionate about helping individuals who are struggling with burn-out, depression and trauma. She also has a passion to walk with people in their faith journey and help them find their identity and fulfilment in God.

Damaris provides services in English and German.
