CLINICAL COUNSELOR

M.A. Counselling

Christina’s passion for helping and caring for others has led her in a roundabout way to the field of counseling. Christina graduated from UC Davis in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Psychology and intended to pursue Public Health. However, God had different plans for her life. She and her husband Dennis both began following Christ in 2000 as an engaged couple. They were married in 2001 and moved to Hanoi, Vietnam with two young sons in 2007. They welcomed two more sons to their family while living overseas.

In 2017 Christina completed a Certificate of College Counseling and began working as the College and Career Counselor at an international school in Hanoi. She loved working with her students and helping them discover possibilities for their futures. However, she also felt the need to become equipped to help them with big issues that can present themselves in times of stress and transition. Christina began a MA in Counseling at Messiah University in 2019 and after two international moves and in the midst of a global pandemic she finished in 2022.

Christina brings experience working as an international school counselor as well as her own experiences of transition and raising a family overseas. She is passionate about preventative measures and helping kids discover positive solutions and coping mechanisms.
