Upcoming Training & Events
The Well provides a range of Trainings and Events including multi-day workshops, seminars and retreats designed for both cross-cultural workers and member care personnel. We host a full calendar of events every year and may also be available to speak at your conference, retreat or team meeting (contact us for inquiries).
Contemplative day retreats to listen to God in solitude and prayer.
Sometimes in order to thrive we need to try new ways to connect our lives to God -- new ways to listen and to engage in conversation with him. Art can be one of those new ways. Sometimes we need someone else to create space for us to engage in that which we find renewing and filling. These day retreats (9:30 am to 2:30 pm) are just that.
The Personal Debriefing for Transition workshop is a structured four-day event designed to facilitate understanding and closure in the midst of transition.
Individuals process what they have experienced in a myriad of ways. This includes constructing timelines, education, and verbal processing. We have found taking time to debrief helps enable individuals to move forward.
This is a 3-day training for all Member Care providers, school counselors and others who desire to learn how to provide member care for individuals, teams, families, children and teenagers.
The training combines knowledge about member care in general and the specific needs of families and children, with activities and exercises that can be used in providing member care.
A great time for families with children ages 4-20 to reflect on the impact transitions have had in their lives!
This is for families who have gone through or will go through transition.
It doesn’t matter if you have just moved to Chiang Mai, if you have been here for a while, or if you are preparing to leave.
This is a two-day training for anyone who lives with or works with children. All children experience trauma, some more than others. Trauma is a bodily reaction of an overwhelming situation, and can affect a child for long time if it is not processed well. From the newest research on how trauma affects the body and brain, our presenter has developed a method called "Safetystories" - an easy, hands-on method to lead a child out of trauma.
This is a follow up day for those who have been participating in a Safetystories full day training. It will be a day full of practice, as well as case presentations and time for questions. The day will equip the participants to share the concepts of Safetystories with others.
