Clinical Director 

Summary: 

The Well International is seeking a qualified, experienced Christian leader for consideration as Clinical Director.  This executive-level management position requires an unpaid volunteer willing to relocate to Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and development of our clinical counseling programs, providing clinical and personnel supervision of our clinical staff. The Clinical Director reports to the Executive Director and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.  The Well is a 20-year-old Christian counselling and mental health practice, serving organizations engaged in global missions, providing licensed counselling and member-care services to their workers locally in Chiang Mai, and remotely via on-line services. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Committed to the quality care of all clients through supervision of clinical staff members, building and monitoring the team’s well-being, and continuity.

  2. Ensure ongoing professional development of clinical staff and interns, by ensuring compliance with current best practice policies and procedures.

  3. Oversee the development of clinical assessments and treatment plans with a client-centered approach.

  4. Manage clinical records and documentation using available practice management systems that are compliant with relevant health-care authorities.

  5. Coordinate group clinical supervisions and case consultations or other pastoral care coaching services with the Executive Director.

  6. Coordinate and manage the delivery and growth of the mental health care services of The Well.

  7. Lead in the recruitment and acceptance process of prospective clinical staff and other providers in collaboration with the Executive Director and Human Resource staff.

  8. Plan and facilitate at least one member care training workshop annually that is pertinent to member care providers.

  9. Commit to grow professionally and personally through continuing education.

  10. Implement strategies that align with the vision, mission and objectives of The Well.


Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree (or higher) in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline from an accredited educational institution.  Fluency in communication in English, writing, and speaking.

  2. Minimum five years of post-Masters, supervised clinical experience in a multidisciplinary mental health setting. 

  3. Licensed as a clinical mental health worker or equivalent accreditation in their passport country.

  4. Minimum 5 years of leadership and administrative experience in a clinical setting.

  5. Minimum 3 years providing clinical supervision to practitioners in a client-centered setting.

  6. Agrees with the vision, mission and objectives of The Well, and Statement of Faith.

  7. Proficiency in understanding diagnostic evaluation methods and use of DSM-V.

  8. Ability to respond to a large range of clients’ needs.

  9. Ability to maintain clinical records in timely compliance with The Well policies and procedures.

  10. Willing to travel on occasion for events, training, and conferences.

  11. Express a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ  and Christian testimony with a desire to serve because of their love for Him.

  12. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills so as to be able to relate well with staff, and network with other organizations.

  13. Prefer candidates able to commit serving at least 3 years.  Proficiency in Thai Language is preferred, but not a requirement.
